A member asked:

I'm having sinus surgery in 3 days. all sinuses are packed, and i need some areas widened. i'm very scared, is recovery painful?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on technique: There are a variety of techniques used. GENEALLY the pain is similar to a bad bout of sinusitis to which you have likely become accustomed. This will be due to congestion and swelling shortly after surgery but should improve within 7-10 days with relief thereafter
