A member asked:

Is it typical to see 1% blasts and 2% myelocytes in white cell differential in high risk mds? are they the same thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

More info needed.: Unless the blasts have been present before, this would be a concerning finding. You should discuss this with your doctor and understand what is going on and what the trend in your counts has been.. Myelocytes are a less mature form of white cell and can be seen under a variety of conditions.
