Rhinitis: Rhinitis can be caused by allergies and my non-allergic causes. Non allergic causes include smoking, medications, exposure to perfumes, smoke etc. Keeping a diary of your symptoms can help determine the cause. Nasal sprays such as otalpadine, steroids (fluticasone, triamcinolone) may help. The steroid nasal sprays like fluticasone and triamcinolone may take several weeks to be effective.
