Swollen lymph node on right side of neck for about a year now. not growing , no pain but abnormal ultrasound on it. what could this be? cancer?

Cancer unlikely: If the node has not grown for a year it is unlikely to be cancer. It is not clear what you mean by abnormal ultrasound, as ultrasound is not a usual way to examine a lymphnode. You may wish to discuss that with the doctor who ordered the ultrasound examination.
