It shouldn't: Root canal therapy is performed individually, one tooth at a time.

No, it will not.: If done properly a root canal will have no adverse effect on neighboring teeth. However, it you need a root canal and do not get it done, the resulting infection could damage neighboring teeth. Bottom line - if you need it get the root canal done.
