Not bad to not good: A root canaled tooth lets you maintain a toothed space. The nerve is gone so hopeful no pain but the tooth rarely can get reinfected and for sure it will continue to decay if you let go. An extracted area will allow teeth to change position near the empty space and cause more troubles in the long run of life. Best bet...Go to the dentist regularly and maintain good dental health.

However, if you extract a tooth & do not replace it, then you may have drifting, shifting, and malocclusion of your other teeth. This could be considered a chronic complication of unreplaced extracted teeth. If root canals are done properly and subsequently restored, chronic conditions are not normally found . Take care...
