I have an exterior ear infection and i am currently using ear drops from doctor. will i have any kind of drainage from this?

Not typically: There is not much drainage typically with an otitis externa but there is a lot of pain due to inflammation of the skin of the ear canal.

GENERALLY: not found with otitis externa, because the ear canal is clogged because of the infection. sometimes if the swelling is great, the drops don't go in easily. Make sure you put cotton into the canal for 15 min, after placing the drops to keep the med in the canal Feel better soon!

From the drops: Placing drops in your ear canal, which is a closed space, will result in some of that solution/suspension leaking out.
