Yes, sounds like a second opinion is warranted. Preferably from an allergist or ENT (ear/nose/throat) specialist. You may or may not have an infection, but your symptoms certainly need evaluation and treatment.

You get a second opinion by having a review of all data and an exam by another doc. Sinus x-rays or a CT Scan of the sinus cavities may be helpful in confirming or excluding this diagnosis.
