Insomnia: Medications usually are not a good long term solution for not being able to sleep at night. I always advise my patients to start with proper sleep hygiene - exercise, eat right, don`t take naps and avoid caffeine later in the day. Depression is a common reason for being unable to sleep - a final option is to see a physician specializing in sleep.
