Insomnia: Hi, sorry to hear about ur problem, what causes u to wake up? Do u need to go to bathroom? When u wake up is it easy to go back to sleep? How's ur mood? Any anxiety? U can try some meditation and relaxation before sleep, don't watch TV or read book in bed, bedroom is only for sex and sleep, go to be at the same time every nite and wake up at the same time, do not nap, decrease alcohol and caffein

Many possibilities: You could have insomnia (sleep disorder) of central (brain wave) origin. Or, you could have sleep apnea - periodic collapse of the airway while sleeping. (Do you snore?) There are other possibilities as well. You should see a specialist in sleep disorders if your primary doc agrees - ask about getting a polysomnogram (sleep study) to help with diagnosis. They monitor ur brain waves while sleeping
