Dizziness: Is one of the most difficult things in all of neurology. Narrowing it down to one of 4 types of dizziness can even be difficult. From there once one has an Idea of the type of dizziness, arriving at an understanding of the causes(s) can be difficult as well. A BAER test can detect a tiny acoustic neuroma years before it can bee seen on an MRI of the brain. www.healthtap.com/drericweisman

Many possibilities: What docs have U seen? I'd recommend neurologist for thorough neuro exam. Meds? Supplements? Drugs? Panic attacks from extreme anxiety can give symptoms like yours. Low BP can cause lightheadedness. Blockage of carotid arteries another possibility. Brian tumor most likely would be accompanied by more severe symptoms. See neuro, who can best advise U based on findings.

Not otologic problem: I would strongly recommend a neurological consult. Anxiety is not a fair diagnosis. You need a thorough neurological evaluation and if that is negative, then anxiety may play a role. Light-headedness is not an inner ear symptom.

Stop worrying: If this were a brain tumor, you'd have the characteristic headaches, personality changes, focal signs, severe nausea / vomiting, or seizures by now. Relax, learn new attitudes and behavior to bring happiness to yourself and others, and get on with a happy life.

Low probability: If u have had a CAT scan the brain &normal, then no tumor. Most physicians will not get CAT scan brain for lightheadedness as more common reasons include dehydration, stress reaction-which is very common and causes rises in adrenaline and cortisol which cause heart to beat faster and blood pressure to go up. Low blood pressure also possible as is low blood sugars. Brain tumor very low on causes.
