My breath smells realy bad due to gum infection (with pus )for a year now. dentist told me just to keep brushing it. embarrass in public, treatment?

Infection: You will need more than a good brushing. Pus means infection. You will need a root canal, perio treatment, an extraction or maybe a combination of these treatments. See a qualified dentist and soon.

Need Treatment Now: Consult dentist/periodontist. Home care: 1) use only soft brush in circles where the teeth and the gums meet. 2) use water pik spraying water in circles where teeth and gum join. 3) use Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) (rx by dentist) to assist in controlling the bacteria.
