What can oesopagitis symptoms cause?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Barrett's esophagus: Esophagitis (alternate spelling in the states) is a result of severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd). With adequate severity & duration, chronic esophagitis might develop into barrett's esophagus which is a precursor to esophageal cancer. See http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/barretts-esophagus/hq00312 for more info.
