Yes: Alcohol is well known to cause reflux and hydrocodone slows gastric transit thus making reflux and esophagitis more likely the other risk is both alcohol and hydrocodone are associated with central nervous system down regulation etc never should they be used together.

Yes and other causes: There are many causes of esophagitis, including drinking alcohol. Acid production in the stomach, with reflux and heartburn can cause esophagitis too. Do not guess at the cause of esophagitis, and allow your doctor a chance to figure out the cause. Only then can you find the right treatment. With that said, alcohol may make esophagitis from another cause - even worse.
