I need dentures but would prefer implants. which one works better?

Maybe Implants: Dentures move all around. If you can have 4-6 mini-implants, then the denture can snap onto these implants thereby keeping them from moving. Remember that not all patients are good candidates for implants. If yor are, then do it if you can afford the cost.

Depends on your goal: Well made conventional dentures can provide nice esthetics, but very limited function. Even excellent dentures (i.e.: made by a prosthodontist) will have only 1/8 the chewing efficiency of natural teeth. Fixed restorations on implants, or even removable dentures supported by implants, will greatly improve chewing efficiency and comfort. In addition, implants will help preserve your jaw bone.

Depends: Dentures are plastic teeth that can be used to provide some function and esthetics. However, if you really want to eat whatever, whenever and however you want, laugh and speak comfortably, then dental implants is the treatment to consider. See a dentist that have experience in dental implants.

Implants!: Restorations that are implant supported rather than gum supported such as dentures are hands down the best option. Teeth can be replaced with both fixed and removable implant supported restorations. Full dentures are the most uncomfortable and poorest way to replace missing teeth. See a general dentist or prosthodontist to discuss all your options and discuss pros and cons of each option.

Implants: There is no doubt that having dental implants will serve you much better than conventional dentures. The investment will be more, but the results will be much better. Given your very young age, i highly recommend you invest into dental implants. Go for it...You're worth it ! keep smiling !

Implants: Hands down, implants. Dentures yield about 50 - 60 % function. Implants 90 - 100 %. Dentures result in steady loss of bone -- big concern at your young age. Implants help maintain bone. Many other benefits with implants. See the expert specialist -- the Prosthodontist for evaluation and to discuss your options. Good Luck.
