Yes: The implant normally does not have a traditional clasp but instead another attachment is used such as a zest anchor which resembles a snap fit used in clothing. The life span of an integrated implant is usually 10- 30 years.

Yes, long time: Partial dentures can be attached to implants very nicely. I do this all the time for my patients. Special abutments (usually "locators" ) are attached to the implants. They have a counterpart which is attached to the partial and allows it to snap into position. Thing snaps on a windbreaker jacket. Works very well, and there are no unsightly metal clasps showing. Implants last indefinately.

Several thoughts....: A partial denture can be anchored to dental implants to improve retention and stability, depending on where the missing teeth are, and where the implants need to be placed. Typically, special attachments are used with the dental implants to allow a partial denture to 'snap' onto the implants, not 'clasp' onto the implants. Implants have the potential to last a lifetime if maintained properly.
