A member asked:

Do dentures supported by implants still cause facial collapse, decrease in taste and etc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly...: if implants are placed only in the lower arch, which is common, the vertical height can collapse. If placed in both upper & lower that can't happen. As for taste, any removable appliance can alter taste, keeping dentures clean can minimize this issue. Speech can be effected, but usually only in the user's perception not by those who hear them.
