Hard to say.: Ild is a group of lung diseases which do not necessarily have a lot in common. Specific treatment and prognosis really depends upon a more specific diagnosis.

Interstitial Lung Dz: Simple answer is scar tissue in the lungs. Zif cured depends on what can cause this. Many test to find identifing cause. Also a good history and physical exam. Once a person has scar in the lungs you can't remove that. Try to slow or stop the progression. If unknown cause then 'ipf'. Survival depends on individuals. Sometime a transplant may be needed. Need to be seen by pulmonary md.
