A member asked:

Any connection between simvastatin and ild?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Recently recognized: In 2008, the journal chest published a literature review describing multiple case reports and fda adverse event reporting suggesting a link between station use and interstitial lung disease. There was no possible mechanism of injury proposed, & there was not a strong link established (it appeared rare). However, ild was then added in 2010 to the product insert as a possible, rare adverse reaction.
