Invisalign broke in two, what should i do?

Keep Wearing It.: If you can, keep wearing your aligner even if it is in two pieces. If you can't comfortably wear the broken aligner then you need contact your orthodontist to see if they want you to go forward into the next aligner or go back to the previous aligner until a replacement aligner can be delivered. The most important thing is to always be wearing your aligners to avoid relapse!

Call Orthodontist: If it can be worn temporary in two pieces - do so but call your orthodontist immediately specific instructions. If it can't be worn, go back one-stage to the previous aligner number to hold your progress, call your orthodontist for an appointment asap.

Call orthodontist: Call your orthodontist and he can have new aligner made if needed or possibly have you change into the next aligner.

Keep wearing it...: If it is comfortable to do so, but--call your orthodontist asap to establish that the "2-piece" position is fitted and functioning appropriately. Your dentist/orthodontist can replace the aligner, skip it, or recommend continue to wear until the next one is due.

Call dentist: Call your dentist right away, they can order the exact tray that broke, generally at no additional cost. You can continue to wear either piece if it says secure in your mouth. Use a nail clipper to trim any sharp areas. It happens infrequently but can occurs especially with a lot of movement is needed. Good luck.

Go forward or back: Try the next aligner... If you cannot get it to work, you need to go back one aligner and have your orthodontist order a new one.

Call: Call your treating Dentist or (hopefully) Orthodontic Specialist immediately. The sooner a replacement tray is ordered the less chance of untoward movement. Your practitioner can also help you decide whether to try wearing the broken parts, go back one tray, or go forward. Talk to your practitioner, the person most familiar with your malocclusion and your progress.
