Need recovery.: A lot of the conditioning and building of strength and endurance doesn't occur while you're exercising but while you're recovering in between exercise sessions. Therefore, exercise sessions should be brief and intense, with adequate rest in between. For example, for cardio we should allow ourselves a day or two each week to recover, and for weights exercise each muscle once weekly.
