Strengthen lumbar mm: I am assuming you have a lumbar disc. Exercises that increase strength of supportive lumbar and para spinous mm are best. Aqua therapy is beneficial. Avoid percussive activities. Drink water. An experienced pt can help with gentle traction. An inversion table may help, but is controversial.
