Medically Stabilize: While everyone understands that your mother's hip requires treatment as soon as possible, it is not uncommon and recommended to make sure that the patient is medially optimized (hydrated, blood pressure controlled, pulmonary (chest) function maximized etc.) first. While that may take a few days to stabilize, your mother will better be able to tolerate the major surgery that she requires.

Wait: You have to wait for the other drs to get the blood pressure and cardiac function better. Otherwise too risky and your mom might not make it out of surgery.
