There are a number -: Of others, like infection, bleeding requiring transfusions, nerve injury, leg clots which may prove fatal if it moves to the lungs; wound healing problems, ugly scar. The stress of surgery can cause heart/chest or urinary problems, like heart attacks, failure, in patients with cardiac issues; or pneumonia, urinary infections. Rare problems like pressure sores if some one does not get out of bed.
