Depends: This depends on many factors including the pre/postoperatve health of the patient, the type of fracture, and the type of fixation. Often healthy patients with stable fixation can go home with outpatient pt a few days a week. More deconditioned patients or those with more difficult fractures may even require inpatient rehab for a while.
