Ask your surgeon: It is probably ok to eat pickles 2 weeks prior to your bypass. However, every surgeon has their own protocol and sometimes can be very particular about it. It is better to ask your surgeon and be safe rather than risk having your surgery postponed because you were craving a pickle.

Ask your surgeon: Call the surgeons office to make sure you can eat this. The medical assistant should be able to tell you right away without having to see the md.
