Little research but: To the best of my knowledge there has not been much research on the health benefits of lucid dreaming but it is likely to be beneficial. See http://www.Lucidipedia.Com/lucid-dreaming-research/ there are many books on this fascinating subject- i recommend exploring the world of lucid dreaming by stephen laberge and lucid dreams in 30 days by keith harary.

How LD Has Helped Me: I'm curious: what u seek 2 control about ur sleep? Hypnotic suggestion/lucid dreaming techniques have been shown 2 help people redirect fears/anxieties that surface in dreams & 2 help them regain sense of control after traumatic events/losses. I'm a believer: at age 5, was taught 2 take myself out of bad dream by imagining myself on a carousel horse going round & round, up & down 2 rhythm of music.
