Will a temporal or sinus ct scsn show issues with brain?

It can: Radiologist should review portion of brain included in sections but it may miss top of brain.

Not very well: Ct techniques used to image the temporal bones or sinuses are tailored specifically to evaluate these areas. Only small portions of the brain are even included in the field of view. Also, the images are processed to give the best bony detail which makes the soft tissues difficult to evaluate. While an abnormality may be detected, these scans are not sufficient to evaluate the brain.
