Difficult: U can ask your supervising doctor about possible second opinion referrals while in hospice. Not sure how easily insurance or medicaid would cover another md giving an opinion on the need for hospice, but cost should be too much. U can also send records on line to johns hopkins, washington univ, mayo clinic.

Talk to social wrkr: Hospice is about quality of life and you need to feel comfortable that you are receiving the best care for your diagnosis (whatever the 'service' might be called). Your hospice social worker should be willing to discuss options for financial assistance or free/no cost clinics to discuss with another physician. Many county clinics or medical school clinics have such programs.
