A member asked:

Does the sodium loss in endurance athletes go down the more years they participate in training and racing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kidneys: The regulatory mechanisms do not change. They will conserve salt to correct volume. Most athletes replace fluid and electrolytes whether necessary or not. Doubt this changes with experience.
