Blood pressure: Combination drugs are used to make therapy easier for the patient. Their effects are often additive both the postives and the negatives. If you're getting good results with the drug for your hypertension and have experienced no downsides, you shouldn't have anxiety. You do need to be followed by your doctor however. Problems can show up late your doctor will be on the lookout.

Diuretics and sodium: Using a diuretic, like hyrdochlorothiazide (hctz (hydrochlorothiazide)) can cause a drop in sodium (na) levels in your blood. Ramipril (r) has no effect on your na level, as its anti-hypertensive effect is based on its making your arteries more compliant which lowers blood pressure. If low na levels are a problem for you, ask your doctor if there are different options for your blood pressure control other than hctz (hydrochlorothiazide).
