corneal injury: You likely have a corneal abrasion and would need to be seen right away in the emergency room to rule out a more serious injury. At the er they would begin treatment which may include topical drops, ointment and patching the eye. They may decide to dilate your pupil and possibly give you oral pain medications.

Artificial tears.: Most likely you have a corneal abrasion. You should use preservative free artificial tears or eye ointment (refresh pm or lacrilube) every 1-2 hours. I may help to keep the eye closed as well. If not improving see your eye md.
