A member asked:

Is my gash infected if its a green color? i washed it out and it turned more normal color but still visibly green. will hydrogen peroxide clear this

May be infected: Green discoloration is often caused by a bacteria pseudomonas. This bacteria is more commonly found below the knee. I would dilute peroxide with half water as it can be toxic to healthy cells, then see your doctor if it is red and inflamed.

Maybe: Green color is not normal for a healing wound, so i would suggest you have a dr. Look at the wound to assess the area and get you precribed the proper treatment, which may include antibiotics, etc. Good luck.
