Taking salofalk for a yr now but my new gi doctor said i stop taking salofalk and he prescription me spasmomen.. it is the same from salofalk?

No, different drugs: Salofalk=mesalamine, an antiinflammatory med often used for ibd like ulcerative colitis or crohn's. Spasmomen (in most countries) is an antispasmodic (otilonium bromide) also used for ibd. Both used for same disease but use different approach to treat. If new med doesn't give control u had with salofalk, ask about being returned to it (unless it is causing undesirable side effects).

Different: We don't have the exact meds here but we have one very similar to salofalk. We usually use it to treat chroma disease or ulcerative colitis. The other med you mentioned is available in several countries and is used when there is spasm of the gut. It is safe, even in children and has few side effects.
