A member asked:

Doctor prescribed me mesalamine enema for hemorroids today. will the enema or mesalamine suppositories work better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure: mesalamine enemas are used for colitis that extends up to the second half the colon, while mesalamine suppositories are used for colitis of the rectum (proctitis). I do not use mesalamine for hemorrhoids.. so you may want to double check on this with your doctor.
