My gi doctor put me on pentasa (mesalamine) for possible crohn's, i have to take 4 250mg cr 4 times a day. i am curious to know why i have to take 16 per day??

4g/day: The recommended day is 4g/day that does mean that you have to take 16 capsules of 250 mg per day. Please note that Pentasa (mesalamine) does come in 500 mg capsules also, that might reduce your total daily dose to 8 caps/day.
