Gentle stretching: Yoga can be good but do not put yourself in positions that may cause pain or put undue stress on the hip. Let pain be your guide. Soreness is ok with exercise. If you develop any pain, then back off and try to identify the positions that are the source.

Depends on severity: Perthes disease can dramatically affect the shape of the femoral head. In severe cases, it can be like trying to fit a square peg (the femoral head) into a round hole (the acetabulum). If your involvement was minimal, you could safely do yoga. The best thing to do would be to see an orthopaedist to have a pe and xray. A good rule of thumb here would be to limit yourself to what doesn't hurt.
