Variable: The best predictor of ankle motion after ankle replacement is ankle motion before replacement. While motion can be gained, this is by no means guaranteed as factors such as capsule and tendon contractures can also play a role.

Some: I would not recommend aggressive running, jumping after ankle replacement. Normal walking will be fine. You have to adjust your lifestyle especially if you were an athlete.
