See: Venacure-evlt.Com for info. Sun may make the puncture site turn brown. Use sun screen on site for a year to prevent these changes.

Sun exposure: Don't worry about sun exposure but do use a sun screen as dr. Korona said. Pain after evlt is minimal and recovery is extremely fast. You will probably have essentially no down time.

Evlt: The procedure itself is relatively pain free. To accomplish that, however, a numbing solution is used to surround your vein before the laser is activated. That requires a series of injections in the skin around the vein. Those injections sting; are uncomfortable--some would say hurt. I have not had a patient needing both legs treating, fail to come for the second leg after doing the first.

Evlt: Firstly there is no reason that you can't go out after undergoing the laser procedure. the issue with sunbathing is more of a concern after sclerotherapy treatments. the laser procedure does not cause much in the way of discomfort, however if the vein is closer to the surface of the skin, a pulling sensation is very common as the vein is shrinking, which is part of the healing process
