Let me explain: Sprains are graded i, ii, or iii depending on their severity: grade i sprain: pain with minimal damage to the ligaments grade ii sprain: more ligament damage and mild looseness of the joint grade iii sprain: the ligament is completely torn and the joint is very loose or unstable. Good luck.

A knee injury: It is not an ankle injury but a knee injury. If you said it is an acl then your md can take care of it. Is there any knee swelling or effusion? A ct or MRI done? Rest that knee with ace. Ice compress usually for the 1 st 24-48 hrs then warm moist compress of warm compress. Take care. Drbelga.
