A member asked:

Will rogain help with bald spots in my beard?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: Rogaine (minoxidil) is most effective for general hair thinning. Spotty hair loss heightens my concern for a localized fungal infection. If this is the case, this is good because after the infection is adequately treated, hair should regrow in that bald spot. See your family doctor, internist, or dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and implement a treatment plan.
