Your pregnancy: These are side effects of your pregnancy. First you are carrying extra weight. You have alot of hormones floating around obviously. One of them is loosening your pelvic ligaments. This hormone will actually loosen all ligaments and you may notice your feet becoming flat. This leads to pronation and the over firing of the tibialis anterior muscle causing your shin splints. Arch supports help.
