Need eval now: There are many causes of unilateral (one leg) extremity swelling: blood clot in vein, poor venous draining, obstruction of lymph vessels. Likely whatever is causing the swelling is contributing to the cramping. If swelling were due to systemic causes, i.e. heart failure, both legs would be involved. You need to see your doctor or go to Urgent Care today for evaluation; a month is too long!
