Agree: You should have never had that test done (ca-125) without a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. It is a nonspecific test. But i agree, no further testing necessary. Routine follow up with your pcp and gynecologist. Hope this helps.

CA 125: Is not approved as screening test. It can be elvated mildly in many benign conditions, as well as ovarian cancer. It may be useful if you have a diagnoisis established of ovarian cancer, the level may reflect tretament success or failure. If you do not know that you have ovarian cancer, this sets off alarms of worry that more likely than not will result in a work up that you did not need.
