A member asked:

Found a new semi-hard, painless small lump under the skin below the ear, behind the jaw bone. had blood tests which were normal, and the lump is hidden unless when pulling the skin back. would ultrasound rule out cancer, or a different test?

US will not likely help. I would trust what Dr says unless you dont trust them. If that is a problem then get one you do.

It is probably a lymph node. You could watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
