Very low chance: It is not really possible to state with certainty whether you have cancer or not, let's get that out of the way first. However, for ALL patient's getting evaluated for thyroid nodules (which you may or may not have), 95% are NOT cancer, but rather simple functional or non-functional cysts and nodules. Take a deep breath, have your ultrasound, and it's very likely everything will be fine.
