May need med change: A 'normal' thyroid level is not always optimal. Most people feel best when they are at the upper part of the normal level. That is with their TSH between 0.4 and 1.0. The TSH level is the best way to assess your thyroid level. Also, some people do not convert the levothyroxine (t4) to the active hormone T3 and need to take some T3 (liothyronine) with the T4 or a combination such as armour thyroid.
