Is there pain after cholecsytomy and how long does pain last and how long out of work?

Everyone different: On average strong pain for 3-4 days, soreness of 1-2 weeks. Every patient is different. I allow my patients to return to work as soon as they like as long as they do not do any heavy lifting or anything too strenuous for 2 weeks. Also, no driving if taking narcotic pain medicine.
