Relatively safe: Not healthy? Not done without significant disease and trouble! Usually done because of illness, risk factors, or timing of cholecystectomy.

Why?: Percutaneous cholecystostomy is usually reserved for people too ill to have a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Why can't you have surgery.
