A member asked:

I have a bad skin quality around my my waist and fat deposits my doctor says vaser lipo can help me and it is better for skin shrinkage is it true?

Yes: Vaser liposelection is an excellent choice for those who have excess fat with looser skin. It does help tighten the skin better than traditional liposuction.

Maybe: There are many types of liposuction available and each doctor owns and trains on the one they chose. Laser liposuction can melt the fat and tighten the skin. It has been proven to work well. I am not convinced the skin tightens as well with the vaser lipo although it is effective. Getting a second opinion is helpful if you are not convinced that doctor or that technique is a good fit for you.

Potentially: In my opinion, the key here is the degree of what you call "bad skin quality". Vaser can improve skin tightening but the degree needed must be assessed by an in person physical exam. If your skin quality is very lax, no current liposuction modality will likely give you the results you desire. In such cases, excision, in the from of medial or laterally thigh lifts, or abdominoplasty may be bette.
